Spring 2012 Registration Is Open. Registration for the Spring 2012 season opens on January 1, 2012 and runs through February 10, 2012. Registration is exclusively online. Late registrations will NOT be accepted except for travel players recruited to complete rosters. Fees and Uniforms. Registration fees are $36 per player for inhouse play and $46 per player for travel team play for early registration. Fees are $3 more for late registration. There is a discount for families registering three or more players: the third player and each subsequent player is half-price. You can pay by credit card when you register your child, or you can elect to pay by check. All checks should be made payabl to "SVSC" and mailed to: SVSC, P.O. Box 214, Homestead, PA 15120. Your registration is not final until payment is made and received. Note that uniforms are extra. Each inhouse player must have two t-shirts, one maroon and and one gold, which are $8/each. The t-shirts can be worn in subsequent seasons--as long as the shirt still fits, your child can wear it. Please check back to this website for information about when and where uniform shirts can be purchased. SVSC also sells maroon shorts and maroon and gold soccer socks as a convenience to parents, but you are not required to purchase shorts and socks.
Refund Policy. SVSC will refund registration fees on a limited basis. After the first game of the season, no refund will be made. After a player is registered with PA West (typically two weeks after registration) but before the first game, a partial refund will be made (the fee paid less the amount paid by SVSC to PA West to register the player). Before SVSC registers a player with PA West, a full refund of the fee paid will be made.
Team Preferences. SVSC will try to honor preferences to play with a certain player or for a certain coach, but no guarantees can be made, especially at the U12 level.
Travel Team Policies. With respect to travel teams, the formation of travel teams is not guaranteed. Participation on a travel team requires an elevated level of player and parent commitment because of the level of competition, travel to away games, increased formality of rules and requirements (e.g., possibility of forfeit and actions against SVSC), as well as serving as representatives of SVSC and the community. The travel coach has the final decision on his/her team player requirements, while SVSC has the final decision on a player's travel team placement. Copies of birth certificates and player photographs are required for new travel players, those travel players moving up to a new age group, or for players with a pass that has been used for two seasons. Players "playing up" two or more age groups, e.g., a U14 playing up as a U16, require a notarized parent/guardian permission form (which is available on this page). No exceptions to this rule will be allowed.
Reservation of Rights. SVSC reserves the right to deny registration or placement on a team to any player for any lawful reason.
